Interior Gross Area
Interior Gross Area is the total area of all floors of a building as measured to the inside finished surface of the outer building envelope. Unlike Gross Building Area, which includes the thickness of the exterior walls, Interior Gross Area represents the total "contained" space within the shell, often used as a baseline for determining building efficiency.
