Elevator Lobby

An Elevator Lobby is a transitional space on any floor that grants access to elevator cabs. According to BOMA standards, the main ground floor elevator lobby is typically designated as Building Service Area. Conversely, elevator lobbies on multi-tenant floors are usually classified as Floor Service Area. However, when dealing with full-floor tenants under BOMA Office or Industrial Method A, it is more accurate to classify the elevator lobby directly as Occupant Area (and not as common area that is not shared).
