BOMA Standard

A BOMA Standard is a building measurement methodology, developed by the BOMA International Floor Measurement Standards Committee, used to calculate the floor area of various property types, including office, industrial, retail, and multi-unit residential, and mixed-use buildings. BOMA International has been developing the standards for over a century, publishing its first office standard in 1915. Today, BOMA Standards are the pre-eminent methodologies used to measure buildings across North America and several international markets.
