Hi
If I have an square elevator lobby that is wider than 5 ft and has tenant areas attached- may the whole thing be considered BBC or do I have to divide the area?

Hi,

BBC width can be established according to the building's existing construction or the building's established corridor design standards, so it is entirely possible to have a BBC corridor that is wider than 5 feet. However, there may be other things to consider when establishing BBC length and BBC width that are impossible to determine without looking at a floor plan.

Thanks,
David
