Large Roof Terrace

I am analyzing a 5-level office building, which at the roof level has a 550sqm roof terrace, Should I consider this roof garden as a building service area? in case of considering it like that, it would affect my building allocation ratio a lot.
According to BOMA 2017 Office Building Standard, is it correct that I decide not to consider the roof garden to prevent it from affecting my ratio?

Hi Ignacio,

There is nothing in the BOMA 2017 Office Standard suggesting that it is optional, so to be fully compliant, I would recommend including it as Building Service Area and then using a Capped Load Factor if necessary.

Thanks,
David
