New Staircase

Robin Robinson

This question is for a one-tenant office building. The building was completely remodeled to accommodate the new tenant, which included building a massive double helix staircase for three stories. There was no staircase before this. Would the staircase be considered useable area?

Hi Robin,

This would be considered an Occupant Void and therefore included in the tenant's Occupant Area and therefore the Rentable Area of the building as well.

Thanks
David
