Are there BOMA spreadsheet available?

Hi Jarek,

As far as I know, BOMA does not provide the Excel spreadsheets. You have to generate those yourself using the formulas provided in the standard.

Thanks,
David

Why are they reluctant to share the spreadsheets? They must have repared them since they are in the standard. It may help their members understand better, as the formulas are not 100 percent accurate due to zero Useable Area throws everything off because you cannot divide by zero. If found a fix, but they should be made available so their clients understand how to properly use them. Otherwise, what's the point of including them in the standard?

Hi Brian,

I'm not exactly sure but I think that BOMA is concerned about liability. The spreadsheets are dynamic and dependent on the input data of a particular project. If the spreadsheet was provided, it wouldn't be able to cover all the possibilities of actual projects.

The charts shown in the standards are fairly easy to recreate in Excel with the formulas provided. You could create a template based on this, although you have to be careful to adapt that template properly to each project ensuring that your Floor Totals and Building Totals, etc are properly adding the number of rows which will be different from project to project.

If you want an official answer to this question though, I would recommend reaching out to BOMA International directly.

Thanks,
David

If there is Inter-Building Service Area (IBSA) and Inter-Building Amenity Area (IBAA) adjacent to each other, is the wall priority Centerline? I have assembled a Wall Priority Matrix and this is only item I cannot confirm. Please advise

IBSA has the same wall priority as Building Service Area and IBAA has the same wall priority as Building Amenity Area, so IBSA has wall priority over IBAA.

Thanks,
David
