Floor Service Area dedicated to a tenant occupying a different floor

Hello,

How do I assign correctly the Floor Service Area occupied by a generator room that is dedicated to a tenant on the upper floor?

By simply filling in the area in the chart, the tenant on the same floor as the generator room is allocated an area that is not really of use to him.

Thank you.

Hi Andrea,

The BOMA 2010 Office Standard does not include a methodology for performing such calculations, however it may be appropriate to simply allocate the generator room as an Occupant Area.

The latest BOMA 2017 Office Standard specifically does allow these calculations using "Inter-Building Areas". We recommend using BOMA 2017 instead of BOMA 2010.

Thanks,
David
