The Wall thickness of the retail building I am reviewing varies in thickness by height, it has recess panels between pilaster above 3'-4". If I measure the walls thru the panels as shown on the plan the gross area is less then at the floor line. Does BOMA have a height standard or is it simply at the floor line?

thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

The BOMA Retail Standard states that the measures line is "A horizontal line on the outermost structural
or architectural surface of the exterior face of the exterior enclosure of a given floor of a building."

Thanks,
