MAJOR VERTICAL PENETRATIONS IN A FLOOR SERVICE (MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT ROOM/AREA).

Are the several small (24x36) mechanical supply/return shaft penetrations in the floor counted as MVP, or be included in Floor Service Area?

Hi Timothy,

It is a Major Vertical Penetration if:

It's larger than 1 square foot
It serves a vertical building system
It is a pipe shaft or vertical ventilation duct

Thanks for the response. I can't seem to "unfollow" the thread. The message keeps coming up with the following text: I do not see a "yellow star," and when I click on the follow button, I get a choice of "follow thread? - yes" and "cancel." within the message field. When I press on "yes," I get an "Invalid thread." Otherwise - GREAT answers. Thanks again for the responses.
