Is basement area included in BOMA measurements of Office space on a one storey office building?

Hi Greg,

Basement Areas are included in the BOMA Office Standard. There isn't usually a lot of Rentable Area in basements, but mechanical rooms and other Service Areas along with elevator lobbies, etc would be included as Rentable Area. As well, Occupant Storage is now included in the Rentable Area under BOMA Office 2024; however, no gross-up / Load Factor is applied to Occupant Storage.

Thanks,
David
